Related AIA Position: Recent College Graduate (Non-Licensed)
Related AIA Position Description: Entry-level professional performing basic architectural assignments. Undertakes a variety of standard architectural techniques for small projects or selected segments of a larger project. Performs design layouts and features, which require researching, compiling, and recording information for assigned project work.
Compensation Alignment: Baseline compensation for this position will be aligned to the lower quartile salary listed for the Recent College Graduate (Non-Licensed) position defined by the AIA Compensation Report for the California Region. Baseline salary ranges will be updated in alignment with the publication of this report. Final compensation for each employee will be determined based on skillset alignment with the position as described below as determined by the Studio Directors and Principal Architects. This is a non-exempt position as defined by the state of California.
Supervision Hierarchy: Job Captains – Project Managers or Project Architects – Studio Director – Principal Architect
Position Responsibilities:
- Performs specific, limited portions of assignments using prescribed methods.
- Under general supervision, works from the design of others and performs routine architectural assignments. Limited judgment is required on work details.
Position Qualifications:
- 0-2 Years of Professional Experience
- Degree from a NAAB-Accredited Architecture Programs is preferred but not required.
- Proficient with Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite & Outlook.
- Organized with a strong attention to detail and follow through.
- Good oral and written communication skills with an emphasis on reading and writing for creating documentation and reports.
- Interpersonal skills to work within a team, taking direction from senior staff members.
